Q. What ATMs can I use with my SCSB debit card?
A. You can use thousands of ATMs across the country and you’ll have no foreign ATM withdrawal fees as long as you are a student.
- All ATMs that are SCSB-owned including the following are completely free for your use:
- Harlan Downtown Office - 508 Court St.
- Harlan West Branch Office - 2010 23rd St.
- Elk Horn Office - 4039 Main St.
- Panama Office - 102 Main St.
- Shelby - Taylor Oil Shell Station, Interstate 80
You can also use non-SCSB owned ATMs for free that participate in the Privileged Status program to avoid paying ATM surcharge fees. To find these ATMs that display the Privileged Status logo, click here to find the participants nearest you.

Q. What is a PIN?
A. A PIN is a Personal Identification Number (PIN) a secret numeric password used to gain access to a system such as an ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) or with in-store debit card process. You’ll receive a PIN in a separate mailing when you apply for a SCSB debit card and can call SCSB at any time to change it to any four-digit code you would like.

Q. How should I choose my Personal Identification Number (PIN)?
A. Pick four digits that you can easily remember, but avoid obvious numbers like your date of birth or phone number, and avoid writing it down.

Q. Can I add my savings account to my debit card?
A. Certainly. But all purchases will be deducted from your checking account. You can withdraw money from your savings or make transfers between checking and savings accounts at an ATM.
