NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION
Nonpublic personal information is information about you that we may obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. This could include information such as account balances, payment history, or overdraft history.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect nonpublic personal information about customers from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your social security number, assets, and income
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as your account balance and payment history
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, such as your credit history
- Information we receive from your online visit to our web site, such as “cookies”, the time and date you accessed our site, and the URL from which you connect to our site
We do not collect information about former customers after the banking relationship has ceased.
INFORMATION WE SHARE WITHIN OUR FAMILY OF COMPANIES
We are permitted under law to share information about our experiences and transactions with customers and former customers with companies related to us by common control or ownership (affiliates). Affiliates would include financial service providers such as banks, mortgage bankers, credit card issuers, and management companies.
In regard to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, if you do not want us to share non-public information you provide us on a loan application or information we obtain from consumer reporting agencies with any of our affiliates, you may “opt out” of this provision by calling Kathy Mahlberg at (712) 755-5112 or 1-800-574-3531.
INFORMATION WE SHARE WITH OTHERS
From time to time, we may allow companies outside of our affiliated family to offer you their products and services that may interest you. Such companies would include financial service providers such as insurance companies. We may disclose all of the information we collect as described above to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.
We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about customers and former customers to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.
We do not sell any information we collect as described above.
INFORMATION SECURITY
We only allow access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with Federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
